SEEP Privacy Policy

SEEP is a Shopify merchant app that helps merchants answer storefront questions, sync catalog data, review chat history, and optionally collect support or human-handoff requests. This page summarizes the data the product currently handles.
What SEEP stores
- Merchant account and configuration data such as shop domain, plan, branding settings, prompt settings, and retention controls.
- Catalog data synced from Shopify so the assistant can answer questions about products.
- Chat history and operational analytics used for merchant reporting and troubleshooting.
- Support requests created by merchants and shopper lead-capture submissions only when a shopper voluntarily provides contact details for follow-up.
What SEEP does not claim
- SEEP does not claim automated privacy-rights workflows, enterprise compliance certifications, or legal review on behalf of merchants unless those features are explicitly added in-product.
- SEEP should not be used to collect payment card details or other secrets through chat.
How data is used
SEEP uses stored merchant and storefront data to render the chat experience, answer shopper questions, generate analytics, support operator troubleshooting, and pass relevant prompt context to the configured AI provider when a response is generated.
Retention and controls
Merchants can configure chat retention in the dashboard and can export or delete retained chat history from the app. Support and lead records are stored so merchants can follow up on operational issues or shopper handoff requests.
